Learn and discover

There are fantastic learning opportunities for all ages available on both sides of the Avon Gorge.

On the Bristol side of the Avon Gorge and on the Downs, our education team runs activities for all ages, from curriculum-linked school sessions, to children’s and family events and trails, playscheme adventures and sessions for uniformed groups. We also offer bespoke programmes and one-off guided walks and talks for community and special interest groups. We aim to enable people of all ages and backgrounds to discover, learn more about and enjoy the wildlife and landscape of the site.

There are also curriculum-linked school sessions available in Leigh Woods through both the National Trust and through Forestry England’s learning partners ‘My Green World’. The National Trust also have family trails available to download.
