|Common lizards have a great head for heights. They live on narrow rocky ledges in the Avon Gorge.
If they get pecked by a hungry bird they can shed their tail and run away. The tail carries on twitching, attracting the bird, so that the lizard can make a get-away. A new tail will grow in time.
These lizards give birth to live baby lizards (lots of other lizards lay eggs that the babies later hatch out of).
